The Adsense Secret

In the last several years, Google Adsense has become a craze in the Internet Marketing community. It seemed like all of a sudden, Adsense "gurus" and "experts" started crawling out of the woodwork, tauting what they claimed to be the newest "secrets" to making big bucks from Google Adsense.

Like any fad, most of the products or ebooks that were and are being offered were nothing but over-hyped fluff. There are a few, though, that are based on quality information that is effective in increasing Adsense revenues. I know, because I purchased and tried several of both varieties.

And in the end, I actually did learn the "Secret" of making money with Google Adsense, and I will share it with you right now.

The Adsense Secret is that there is no secret to Adsense.

All of the Adsense products being pandered online provide you with the same basic information about Adsense, and then each one puts its individual spin on how to implement Adsense into your website or blog to entice visitors to click the ads. Actually, most of what you get in these package deals can be found for free right on Google's website, or it can be discovered on your own with a little bit of research and testing. What you are paying for in these products is the convenience of having someone else do all the work for you.

Now I'm not saying that all of the Adsense products on the market are a waste of good money--some (which I recommend here) are extremely helpful in shaving off a large part of the learning curve for newbies. Others may save you time and/or money by helping you create the infrastructure for a website or blog in which Adsense will be integrated. But whether you buy and use someone's ebook, website maker, article creator, or "secret" strategy, the bottom line is that there is no "automated" Adsense money machine that will continue to pour in cash which you can just purchase, set up, and forget it.

If there is a real secret to Adsense, it is this: Adsense is not a get-rich-quick scheme that will make you a millionaire while you sit back and relax. Adsense has the potential to make anyone rich, but the only ones who attain that status are the ones who work at it.

So here's the bottom line--Adsense will work for anyone who is willing to work at it. A few of the ebooks and products out there may help you to get started on the right track, but unless you are willing to produce a quality blog or website with relevant content that real people are interested in reading, none of the Adsense "secrets" will do a dime's worth of good for you.
